Korvin Ellumis stopped, taking a moment to survey the place known as Garden Town. It was rightly named, he realised, seeing the various parks, fountains, and flower patches. Although the summer heat must be getting to them, they were obviously well watered and cared for, and had quite an array of different colours and types.
Walking down the road, partially shaded by trees, he was lost in thought, as usual. Today would obviously be a fairly eventful day, one he'd been waiting for, for a while now. It was a way out of the trap of parents and siblings, and a better chance to understand things from a different perspective. Nodding to various people walking along the street as they passed, his thoughts turned towards the coming descision.
I wonder what Pok?mon there will be to choose from, he thought as he walked through the garden path leading up to the lab. As he considered, he felt that somehow, he had done this before, thought he wasn't certain how, or why. Dismissing the feeling, he walked up the white stone steps leading up to the front entrance, and rang the doorbell shaped like a pokeball.

Professor Daisy was about to sneak into town to grab a quick bite to eat. Leftovers again? Eugh, no way. She tiptoed around the lab, sneaking around corners and trying to not draw much attention, though her actions had the opposite affect. The assistants merely shook their heads, used to their boss' eccentric behavior.
Daisy stopped when she heard the chime of a bell coming from the front entrance. Peeking around the corner, she saw a young man standing outside. She raised an eyebrow as she had the oddest feeling she'd seen him somewhere before. She shook off the feeling and pushed the button to let him in.
"Hey there," she greeted with an excited wave as she jumped out from behind the corner. "I'm Professor Daisy. Are you here for your first Pok?mon?" Not usually one to volunteer for a job, Daisy was always chipper and ready to help out new trainers. She walked over to him with a great smile on her face and proceeded to look at him curiously. He looked normal enough but that feeling was still there.

Korvin noticed a woman with white hair peering out from the corner, obviously trying not to be seen. As he waved in her direction, she pressed a button to let him in. As he entered, she jumped out from behind the corner while waving excitedly and giving her name.
Sizing her up, he also noted her pale skin, and her khaki shorts. Kind of odd for a Profesor to be wearing shorts, but they seemed to suit her. It seemed she also was not often outside, or at least, did not see much sunlight. Taking a more detailed look at her hair, Korvin noticed it had a wispy quality to it, and was also tied with two pink ribbons.
She seems awfully familiar as well, he thought while looking into her hazel eyes, This whole place feels sorta like deja vu... Korvin waved back, and replied, "Hello Profesor Daisy, my name is Korvin Ellumis. Yes, I am here for my first Pok?mon, I was wondering which ones you care for here?"

Professor clapped her hands together excitedly. "We have all sorts of Pokémon." She paused to remember the long list. It was a very long list and she decided to save her breath instead of repeat the entire thing. "Umm....what type are you interested in? We have Grass, Water, and Fire; those are the basics. But if you're into something different, we also have Electric, Normal, Psychic, and Dragon types."
She waved for him to follow her as she began to walk down the hallway to the Pokémon Room. Judging from his appearance, he seemed like the type who would favor a Fire-type...probably Charmander. Charmanders were always popular with teenage males.

Considering the type choices Daisy had given him, Korvin began to follow her down the hall. Grass seemed fairly boring, Water had the advantage of not needing to carry extra water with him, fire could potentially be painful, he had a scar from burning himself already. Electric could be interesting, normal sounded kinda boring, as did dragon, but psychic was a bit intriguing. Korvin was somewhat interested in psychic things to begin with.
Ah well, he thought, perhaps I'll be surprised. "I think I'll wait till I see the different ones before I decide", he said as the sounds of various Pok?mon could be heard coming from a room up ahead.

"M'kay. No problem." They arrived at the double doors that led to the Pok?mon Room. Daisy opened the door and stepped in first, waiting for the boy, Korvin to enter the room full of rambunctious baby Pok?mon.
A stream of water nearly hit Daisy and she peeked into the room and saw a Squirtle and Mudkip having a water fight. "Nuh-uh, you two. Take it outside." She left Korvin's side to usher the laughing Water-types into the fenced-in outdoors playground.

Korvin followed Daisy down the hall to a set of double doors, where the sounds of various Pok?mon could be heard coming from. Nodding to her as she opened the door for him to enter, he managed to avoid getting splashed by a stream of water, Daisy getting hit by it instead. He smirked as he saw her take the two trouble makers to a playground outside, waving to her as she left.
Now then, let's see what we have here, he thought while looking around the room. Plenty of the three standard types, fire, grass, and water... I know grass won't work out well, they tend to need sunlight, and I'd rather avoid the sun most of the time. I'm kind of afraid to choose fire, being burned is very unpleasant, and I prefer the cold. Water seems more logical, but I wonder what those others she was talking about are..., he mused, while searching for the other four.
He spotted a pichu climbing up a tree by the playground outside first. Electric seems nice, but I'm not so sure of something that small, he thought while looking for the others. Looking towards a pool, he saw the dragon type, dratini, swimming around gracefully. Dratini seems intersting enough, but where is that psychic?, he pondered.
At that thought, he felt something tug at his mind, something that felt like "over here", yet wasn't in words. Turning towards this feeling, he saw an abra happily sleeping against the side of lab wall. Abra huh, now that's an interesting one, I'll seriously consider choosing it, he thought, while trying to find the last of the types. Hearing a noise behind him, he looked to see an eevee makinga small tunnel in the sandbox, before curling up in a shallow patch of sand for a nap.
The Abra now forgotten, Korvin slowly approached the tired eevee. When he began to get close, it's ears perked up as it's eyes opened. Slowly getting up and stretching, it walked up to Korvin and sniffed his hand that he had offered out, before looking up, a curious expression on it's face as it said "Vee?".
"You smell what I had for lunch on my hand, don't you?", Korvin asked the little eevee. The eevee nodded and looked at his pack sniffing again. "Well if you're hungry, I guess I could give you a few slices of fruit", Korvin said while reaching into his pack for a small bag that held them, then handing the eevee a few. As it nibbled away at the fruit slices, Korvin gently rubbed above it's eyes, getting a happy "vee..." in response.
Standing up, he turned and tried to find Daisy. He had chosen which Pok?mon he'd wish to start with.

Daisy appeared by Korvin's side thourougly soaked. Her hair was a sopping mess and was plastered on her face and neck while her clothing dripped water on the ground. "That Squirtle's a tricky one," she mumbled to herself.
She then noticed the little Eevee. The sandy-coated Pokémon was munching away on a bit of apple. Daisy smiled. She didn't think the rather scary-looking teen would go for something so cute. "So you want the Eevee? Good choice. I'm sure you know about their unusual evolutions, right?"
Daisy called for an assisstant to bring her a towel and the standard trainer's starter pack.

"If you've got any questions, feel free to send me a letter. And don't forget to show me your Eevee when she's all grown-up!"
